lyrics

I've been sitting beside myself, another one of me in my place.
I been witnessing all this time the wrong messages on his face.
What he says are not quite lies, but he never say what he means.
And he surely don't speak for me; my words are bottled inside my mind.

Two of us in the rain, we get by with words
chasin all our memories with a bottle of pain.

When I try to break out of this place, another one of me in my way.
I push the fool off this road, he pushes everyone else the same.
He's out of control, out of his mind, while I'm over here self-contained.
(but) Could he somehow change my ways, if I just gave into what he says?

If I only could say without words, all of the poetry in my soul,
You would see all the wonderful colors, all the crimson, silver, blue, and gold.
Instead we’re soaking in a storm of righteous blame about some shade of gray.
Won't you let me be wrong for a while, so can live with myself again?
